I'm a darts novice so take this with a grain of salt.

I wasn't impressed with this book. I was between this one and the "Ultimate book of darts" or whatever it was called and I chose this one because I found it used at a library for 3 bucks plus shipping. I would say this book is more for someone who has never played darts in their life. I was expecting to get a wealth of knowledge since it also stated it was, "for beginners and any season veteran".

It talks about the history, the equipment, technique but it's all very quick. Like, a couple pages here, couple pages there. I read through it while taking my time and didn't feel like I got that much information out of it.

The one thing I did like is that when it was describing different grips (3) and different stances (3), it showed drawn pictures so you could see what it looks like. I'm not sure if the "ultimate book of darts" shows more than 3 a piece but if it does, I would recommend that book.

I know there is only so many different ways to throw a dart as well as how to stand and what not, but I was pretty disappointed with this book.

I liked the format

I got this to accompany a dart board I got my (adult) kids for Christmas. I chose it for the fact that it folds flat for reading and had good graphics and photographs, with clear writing and instructions. I think it's a good basic guide; no one is a darts pro and we didn't need the kind of expertise, detail, rules, and history that seemed to be provided with other good alternatives. No one has sat down to read the whole thing, but we've searched for a few pieces of information, and it sits conveniently next to the darts cabinet.

There is a well structured story that cleverly utilizes a number of popular techniques - my favorites;

- you decide what's wrong or right

- 'real' or 'full' fantasy for example not set on earth, not urban setting, not sci-fi crossover

kind of fizzled out

I have a love hate relationship with this series. I keep all the books so I have the entire series but if I didn't I don't know that I would keep this as a stand alone book.

It sort of fizzled out. It seemed like I might have missed a few chapters but then you realize nope it just ends that abruptly. I liked that there was minimal Nicky time. He's my least favorite character. I wish there had been more time with the Tennessee pack. I think it would have been cool if they had relocated. Connor never came off as an alpha male to me and what is a man who tries to act like an alpha but isn't one? A bully.

The story started off strong and kept my interest for a while but then just kind of fizzled out.

Omg this book is so amazing! Best one yet and that is saying something since this series is so good!
Connor literally gets knocked into his mate through an unfortunate accident. And who is his blood match??? None other then the packs biggest enemy, Jeremy Mother Effing Tate! Smh...of all people...tthis man has done and orchestrated some of the most vile things against the pack. And now he has Marco's hearts blood in him, can he keep his wolf at bay?
Connor will stop at nothing to protect his mate even if that means going against the whole pack. As Jeremy gets his memory back, the more clear things become, the more confusing they also become.
With new revelations that come to light about his father, will anyone be able to accept him, even himself?
Adored this book and love Shannon West! She has truly outdone herself with this one!!!

I love paranormal books so was happy to receive this book to read and review, I was not disappointed!! Bad Wolf can be read as a standalone or as part of the Dark Hollow Wolf Pack series.
Connor is a gamma wolf with no intentions of being a leader in the close knit group of the Dark Hollow pack that is lead by his brother. When Connor gets struck with the blood match lust to claim a mate his match lies in Jeremy Tate the leader of their enemies the Hunters. The pack is thrown into chaos as Jeremy has always seen the wolves as abominations and had recently tried to kill Marco a pack member. With no intention of giving up Jeremy, Connor tries to figure out a way to keep his mate and not leave the pack, all he knows is that Jeremy does not fit in with the pack and he himself can not live without Jeremy!!!
I really liked the story of Connor and Jeremy and their love for each other while trying to deal with past events that look set to destroy their match. I liked the twists in the plot of this book they kept me enthralled until the end. I am certainly going to take a look at the other books in this series so I can read about the other characters mentioned in this book.

Una vez mas Carlos Fuentes nos narra historias que nos hacen reflexionar sobre la complicada y necesaria relaci�n entre EEUU y M�xico. Un libro dif�cil de poner a un lado con relatos a veces tristes y a veces divertidos pero que, sobre todo, nos hacen darnos cuenta de una realidad que muchas veces preferimos ignorar. Un libro verdaderamente al estilo Carlos Fuentes.
